We’re delighted to have received the Environmental and Sustainability Award at the prestigious Eastern Daily Press Business Awards 2025. This accolade celebrates both our sustainability journey and the dedication of everyone at PSH Environmental, from our operational teams to our community partners. It reflects the positive changes we are making to waste management while supporting the wider community.
The awards ceremony, held at the Norfolk Showground and Events Centre, brought together over 500 leading business figures for an inspirational evening, championing enterprise, innovation, and positive change across the region.

Our selection as winner reflects the commitment, innovation and leadership at the core of PSH Environmental. The judging panel recognised several key achievements:
- Achieving certified carbon neutrality for 2024–2025, with more than 1,179 tonnes of CO₂e offset through Gold Standard and VCS-verified projects.
- Developing the world’s first 100% solar-powered UNTHA electric industrial shredder; a two-year innovation journey.
- Installing 798 solar panels, generating over 386,000kWh of renewable energy annually and running our entire six-acre site on clean energy.
- Reaching 100% landfill diversion for six consecutive years, demonstrating outstanding waste management standards.
- Launching the Clean Up to Green Up programme, funding biodiversity and rewilding projects such as the restoration of Norfolk’s historic Foxley Wood through a £1 per skip donation model.
The award strengthens our motivation to keep leading by example, expanding renewable energy initiatives and biodiversity projects throughout Norfolk. We congratulate all the finalists and winners, whose resilience and creativity highlight a region full of promise.
Supporting a broader purpose, the event also raised funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust, underscoring the business community’s commitment to creating both economic and social value.
Thank you to the Eastern Daily Press, the judging panel, our partners, and our entire team. Together, we’re working towards a greener, more sustainable future for our region.
