PSH Environmental would like to thank firstly the members of the public who raised the alarm, and the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service for their prompt attendance to site in the early hours of Friday morning. Their tireless efforts, at a time where they are already stretched went above and beyond. We worked with the team, using water from our on-site lagoon to extinguish the fire. The water run-off from the fire was contained within our own water run-off system and collected in our interceptors, ensuring no pollution to the environment. We would also like to thank M Gaze and their swift response removing this waste water from site for appropriate disposal.

We re-iterate Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service’s statement on lithium ion batteries and encourage all member of the public to dispose of these at our county’s recycling centres. Do not put batteries in your household waste or recycling bins and always separate batteries from items that are being disposed.
